Could you spare some time each week to share a cuppa with an elderly person or give a carer a much-needed break? Dunblane Development Trust in partnership with Dementia Friendly Dunblane are looking to recruit some volunteers to become Befrienders and Community Connectors to support individuals who would just like some company.
This project is an extension of the very successful Braeport Memory Café held every Wednesday from 2-4pm in the Braeport Centre. The aim of the Befriending and Community Connectors is to reduce social isolation and loneliness for those in the community who have dementia and a long term condition.
